Pixply App Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 23 July 2026
Version 1.0
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of:
- The Pixply mobile application
- Pixply accounts
- PixStudio
- Pixply board activation and connected functionality
- Games, themes, designs, firmware, and digital content
- Pixply websites, support, and related services
- Pixply hardware and accessories where applicable
These Terms form a legal agreement between you and PIXPLY LTD.
Company: PIXPLY LTD
Company number: 16040467
Registered address: Office One, 1 Coldbath Square, Farringdon, London, England, EC1R 5HL
Email: support@pixply.io
Website: www.pixply.io
In these Terms, “Pixply,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to PIXPLY LTD.
By creating an account, accepting these Terms, activating a Pixply product, or using Pixply services, you agree to these Terms.
Mandatory consumer rights available in your country continue to apply and are not restricted by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create and independently manage a Pixply account.
Users under 16 may use Pixply only with the authorization and supervision of a parent or legal guardian and where permitted by applicable law.
Children under 13 must not independently create an account or provide personal data through Pixply.
By creating an account, you confirm that:
- You have legal capacity to accept these Terms
- The information you provide is accurate
- You are authorized to use the account and connected product
- You are not prohibited from using Pixply under applicable law
A parent or guardian who permits a minor to use Pixply is responsible for supervising that use.
3. Pixply Accounts
Some basic areas of the app may be viewed without an account.
An account is required to activate and use a connected Pixply board and access certain account-based features.
You may create an account using:
- Email address and password
- Google Sign-In
- Sign in with Apple
You must:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Protect your password and authentication methods
- Maintain access to your registered email address
- Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access
- Use only an account you are authorized to control
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless it results from Pixply’s failure to use reasonable security measures.
You must not sell, rent, commercially share, transfer, or impersonate another person through a Pixply account.
4. Email Verification and Authentication
Pixply may require email verification, a one-time verification code, reauthentication, or another reasonable security measure.
Verification codes are temporary. You must not disclose passwords, verification codes, access tokens, activation codes, or other security credentials to another person.
If you use Google or Apple to sign in, your use of those services is also subject to the applicable provider’s terms and privacy policy.
Removing Pixply from your Google or Apple account settings does not automatically delete your Pixply account. You must use the account-deletion process described in Section 25.
5. Board Activation
Certain Pixply functionality requires a valid activation code or product entitlement connected to a physical Pixply board.
Activation may be associated with:
- A board identifier
- A serial number or activation reference
- Hardware security information
- An account
- Authorized board memberships
- A device or app installation
- Product features and entitlements
You must not:
- Publish or sell an activation code separately
- Guess, copy, distribute, automate, or misuse activation codes
- Circumvent activation restrictions
- Connect to a board without authorization
- Interfere with activation or entitlement systems
Pixply may reject or restrict activation where:
- The code is invalid
- The code is already assigned inconsistently
- Authorized limits have been exceeded
- Fraud, tampering, or misuse is suspected
- The request does not match the registered product information
Possession of an activation code does not by itself establish legal ownership of a board or account.
Pixply may require reasonable verification before transferring, recovering, or reconnecting an activation entitlement.
6. Board Ownership and Membership
Physical board ownership, activation entitlement, account membership, and Bluetooth connection are separate.
Deleting an account or removing a board membership does not automatically:
- Delete the physical board
- Deactivate its valid product entitlement
- Remove firmware or hardware records
- transfer legal ownership of the product
Deleting an account removes the personal account-to-board link. The board may later be connected to another authorized account using a valid activation entitlement.
You must not add another person to a board or access another person’s board without authorization.
7. Device and Connection Requirements
Pixply uses Bluetooth to discover, connect to, and communicate with compatible Pixply products.
You are responsible for having:
- A compatible mobile device
- A supported operating system
- Bluetooth capability
- Required device permissions
- Internet access where online functionality requires it
- A supported version of the Pixply app
Connection performance may be affected by the device, operating system, distance, interference, permissions, firmware, internet connection, or third-party platform restrictions.
Pixply does not guarantee compatibility with every device, operating-system version, modified device, or unofficial hardware configuration.
8. Licence to Use Pixply
Subject to these Terms, Pixply grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use the Pixply app and digital services for their intended purpose.
This licence does not transfer ownership of:
- The app
- Software and firmware
- Pixply games and themes
- Graphics and interfaces
- Product technology
- Trademarks and branding
- Documentation
- Other Pixply intellectual property
Except where permitted by law, you must not:
- Copy, redistribute, or resell the app
- Reverse engineer proprietary software or firmware
- Circumvent access, activation, or payment restrictions
- Modify or install unauthorized firmware
- Extract or misuse Pixply databases or content
- Create unauthorized derivative products
- Use automated systems to scrape or overload Pixply services
- Remove ownership, copyright, or trademark notices
Open-source components remain subject to their applicable licences.
9. Games, Themes, and Digital Content
Pixply may provide games, themes, designs, tutorials, instructions, and other digital content.
Availability may depend on:
- The connected product
- Product package or entitlement
- Account status
- App version
- Region
- Technical compatibility
- Whether content is free, paid, promotional, or limited
Unless clearly stated otherwise, Pixply-provided content is licensed for personal and non-commercial use.
You must not copy, sell, redistribute, publish, sublicense, or commercially exploit Pixply content without written authorization.
We may add, improve, reorganize, rename, or remove free or promotional content.
Where you have paid specifically for digital content, your statutory rights and the terms shown at purchase will apply.
10. PixStudio
PixStudio allows eligible users to create, edit, save, and synchronize games or designs.
PixStudio content may include:
- Titles
- Pixel and grid information
- Uploaded images
- Instructional videos or links
- Other design information supported by the app
PixStudio content is currently private and linked to the account that created it. Pixply does not currently provide a public user-content catalogue or social publishing system.
Content may be stored:
- Locally on your device
- Temporarily for synchronization
- On Pixply servers connected to your account
You should retain separate copies of important content where appropriate. Although Pixply takes reasonable measures to protect stored content, no storage or synchronization system can be guaranteed to be completely free from interruption, corruption, conflict, or loss.
11. Ownership of User Content
You retain ownership of original content that you lawfully create or upload.
You grant Pixply a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, convert, transmit, and display your content only as reasonably necessary to:
- Operate PixStudio
- Save and synchronize your content
- Deliver content to your devices
- Connect your content to your account
- Maintain service security and backups
- Provide customer support
- Comply with legal obligations
This licence does not transfer ownership of your original content to Pixply.
The operational licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable backup cycles, security retention, and legal obligations.
12. User Content Responsibilities
You are responsible for content you create, upload, store, convert, or otherwise use through Pixply.
You must have the necessary ownership, permission, licence, or other legal right to use that content.
You must not submit content that:
- Infringes copyright, trademarks, design rights, privacy, or other rights
- Is illegal, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
- Contains malware or harmful code
- Exploits or endangers children
- Discloses personal data without authorization
- Promotes illegal or dangerous activity
- Misrepresents its source, ownership, or purpose
- Interferes with Pixply, its systems, staff, or users
Pixply may remove or restrict content where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, enforce these Terms, respond to a valid complaint, or protect its systems.
13. Likes and Saved Content
Likes, saved items, PixStudio content, preferences, and other account-linked records may be associated with your account.
They may be synchronized across supported devices signed into the same account.
Deleting your account permanently removes these account-linked records from active systems, subject to the limited retention described in the Privacy Policy.
Creating a new account with the same email address does not restore previously deleted content or settings.
14. AI and Future Features
Pixply does not currently provide an integrated AI-generation feature.
Pixply may introduce AI-assisted, intelligent, automated, premium, subscription-based, or other new features in the future.
Before a paid or materially different feature is activated, the applicable price, limits, functionality, and additional terms will be presented where required.
Future AI-generated results may not always be unique, accurate, complete, lawful, or suitable for a particular purpose. Users will remain responsible for reviewing outputs before using, publishing, manufacturing, or selling them.
These Terms do not authorize Pixply to process user content through an AI provider where such processing has not been implemented or disclosed.
15. Notifications and Communications
Pixply may send:
- Security notices
- Account and verification messages
- Activation and membership notices
- Product or service updates
- Support communications
- Push notifications authorized through your device
- Marketing communications where permitted
You may disable optional push notifications through your device settings.
Essential security, legal, account, and service messages may still be sent where necessary.
16. Service Availability
Pixply aims to provide reliable services but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability.
Services may be interrupted because of:
- Maintenance
- Security updates
- Technical failures
- Third-party outages
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Product upgrades
- Emergency repairs
- Events outside Pixply’s reasonable control
Pixply will take reasonable steps to minimize material disruption.
Some product functionality may continue offline, while accounts, synchronization, activation, notifications, and other online services may require an internet connection.
17. App and Firmware Updates
Pixply may provide app, software, content, or firmware updates to:
- Correct defects
- Improve performance
- Add or modify functionality
- Maintain compatibility
- Address security risks
- Meet legal requirements
- Support new or updated hardware
Some updates may be necessary for continued access to online services or secure operation.
You must not interrupt firmware installation or install unauthorized firmware.
Pixply is not responsible for damage directly caused by unauthorized modifications, unsupported firmware, or failure to follow clear update instructions.
18. Beta and Experimental Features
Pixply may provide beta, preview, trial, or experimental features.
Such features may:
- Be incomplete
- Contain errors
- Operate differently from final features
- Have limited availability or support
- Change or be withdrawn
Where reasonably practical, Pixply will identify experimental features.
Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
19. Purchases and Contract Formation
Product listings and advertisements are invitations to place an order and do not themselves constitute acceptance.
Your order is accepted when Pixply sends an order confirmation, unless the checkout or confirmation states otherwise.
Pixply may reject or cancel an order before acceptance because of:
- Payment failure
- An obvious pricing or description error
- Suspected fraud
- Stock or production limitations
- Export or legal restrictions
- An incomplete or incorrect delivery address
If Pixply cancels a paid order, the relevant payment will be refunded.
You are responsible for reviewing your order information before submitting it.
20. Pricing, Payment, and Taxes
Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout.
Before an order is submitted, the checkout will identify applicable:
- Product price
- Taxes
- Shipping charges
- Discounts
- Mandatory fees
- Import arrangements where known
You are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, and local charges unless checkout expressly states that they are included or prepaid.
Payments are handled by authorized payment providers. Pixply does not store complete payment-card details.
Pixply may correct an obvious pricing error before accepting an order.
21. Shipping and Delivery
Delivery dates and timeframes are estimates unless expressly guaranteed.
Delivery may be affected by production, customs, couriers, weather, regional restrictions, address problems, and other circumstances outside Pixply’s reasonable control.
You must provide complete and accurate delivery information.
Additional costs caused by an incorrect address, refused delivery, or repeated failed delivery may be charged where legally permitted.
For consumer purchases, risk of accidental loss generally passes when the product is physically received by you or a person you nominate, subject to applicable law.
Separate Shipping Terms may apply and form part of your purchase agreement.
22. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellation
Your rights depend on:
- The type of product or service
- Whether it is physical or digital
- Whether it is faulty
- Your location
- The sales channel
- Pixply’s published Refund Policy
- Applicable consumer law
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights relating to faulty, misdescribed, unsafe, or non-conforming products.
Where a statutory cooling-off right applies to an online purchase of physical goods, you may cancel within the legally applicable period, subject to permitted exceptions. UK distance-selling rules generally provide a 14-day cancellation period, while separate remedies apply to faulty goods and non-conforming digital content.
For paid digital content supplied immediately, Pixply may request your express consent to begin supply and your acknowledgment that the applicable cancellation right may end once supply begins.
Purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play may also be subject to the relevant store’s billing and refund procedures.
23. Product Warranty
Any voluntary Pixply warranty is additional to mandatory consumer rights.
A warranty may exclude damage caused by:
- Misuse
- Unauthorized repair or modification
- Unauthorized firmware
- Accidental damage
- Improper storage
- Use contrary to instructions
- Normal wear and tear
- Unsuitable electrical supply
- External environmental causes
An exclusion does not apply where the problem was caused by an inherent defect or where applicable law does not permit the exclusion.
Separate Warranty Terms may apply.
24. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Access another user’s account without permission
- Misuse another person’s board or membership
- Circumvent activation, access, payment, or entitlement limits
- Interfere with the app, API, board, network, or servers
- Probe, exploit, or publicly disclose security vulnerabilities irresponsibly
- Introduce malware or malicious code
- Harass users, staff, or service providers
- Submit fraudulent support, warranty, payment, or refund claims
- Use Pixply in violation of applicable law
- Resell digital services unless expressly authorized
Security issues should be reported privately to support@pixply.io.
25. Account Deletion
You may permanently delete your Pixply account through:
Settings > Account > Actions > Delete Account
You may also submit a deletion request to support@pixply.io if you cannot access the app.
Account deletion may remove:
- Account and profile information
- Authentication sessions
- Likes and saved content
- PixStudio content and uploaded media
- Notification records
- Device links
- Board memberships
- Account-to-board links
Account deletion is permanent and deleted content cannot normally be restored.
Deleting an account does not necessarily delete:
- The physical board
- Board hardware records
- Product activation and entitlement
- Security and anti-abuse records
- Information required by law
- Limited backup information
- A temporary hashed technical deletion record
More information is available in the Pixply Privacy Policy and Account Deletion page.
26. Suspension and Termination
Pixply may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary because of:
- Serious or repeated violation of these Terms
- Fraud or activation abuse
- Security risks
- Unauthorized account or board access
- Illegal activity
- Non-payment for a paid service
- A valid legal requirement
Where appropriate and legally permitted, Pixply will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue.
Immediate action may be taken where delay would create a security, safety, legal, payment, or fraud risk.
Suspension does not remove mandatory consumer rights relating to a purchased product.
You may stop using Pixply and delete your account at any time.
27. Intellectual Property
Pixply and its licensors own intellectual-property rights in:
- The Pixply name and trademarks
- The app and website
- Software and firmware
- Product designs and technology
- Original games and themes
- Graphics, animations, and interfaces
- Documentation and marketing materials
- Proprietary systems and databases
These Terms do not transfer Pixply intellectual property to you.
Third-party content and open-source components remain the property of their respective owners.
28. Feedback
You may provide suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or feedback.
You authorize Pixply to use non-confidential feedback to improve and develop its products and services without payment or other obligation.
This does not transfer ownership of:
- Your existing User Content
- Confidential information
- Your independent inventions
- Intellectual property unrelated to the feedback
Do not submit confidential third-party information without authorization.
29. Third-Party Services
Pixply may rely on third-party services, including:
- Apple
- App stores
- Authentication providers
- Cloud and hosting providers
- Notification services
- Payment processors
- Shopify
- Shipping and fulfilment providers
- YouTube and media services
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.
Pixply is not responsible for independent third-party services outside its control. This does not exclude responsibility where Pixply itself acts negligently or where liability cannot legally be excluded.
30. Privacy
Pixply processes personal data according to the Pixply Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains:
- What information is collected
- Why it is used
- Who receives it
- How long it is retained
- How account deletion works
- What privacy rights users may exercise
The Privacy Policy does not reduce rights provided by applicable data-protection law.
31. Consumer Liability
Where you are a consumer, Pixply is responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of Pixply breaching these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
Pixply is not responsible for loss that:
- Was not reasonably foreseeable
- Was caused by inaccurate information or instructions you provided
- Resulted from unauthorized modification or misuse
- Was caused solely by an independent third party outside Pixply’s reasonable control
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of mandatory consumer rights
- Liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited
Pixply products are primarily intended for personal and domestic use. Pixply is not responsible for business losses incurred where a consumer uses the product for an undisclosed commercial purpose.
Terms attempting to remove responsibility for death, injury, faulty goods, or goods not matching their description may be unenforceable under UK consumer law.
32. Business Liability
This section applies only where you use Pixply wholly or mainly for business purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss
- Pixply is not liable for loss of profit, revenue, contracts, opportunity, business, or goodwill
- Pixply’s total aggregate liability relating to the affected product or service is limited to the amount paid for it during the preceding 12 months
These limitations do not apply to fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot legally be limited.
A business user is responsible for third-party claims directly caused by its unlawful misuse of Pixply or material breach of these Terms.
33. Events Outside Reasonable Control
Pixply is not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters
- War or civil disruption
- Government restrictions
- Major infrastructure failure
- Transport disruption
- Customs delays
- Widespread cyberattacks
- Supplier shutdowns
- Epidemics or emergency regulations
Pixply will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of such events.
Any mandatory cancellation or refund rights remain available.
34. Export and Sanctions Compliance
You must comply with applicable export-control, customs, import, and sanctions laws.
You must not export, transfer, sell, or use Pixply products where prohibited by law.
Pixply may refuse or cancel a transaction where completing it would violate applicable legal restrictions.
35. Changes to Pixply Services
Pixply may reasonably change its digital services to:
- Improve functionality
- Fix errors
- Address security risks
- Meet legal obligations
- Maintain compatibility
- Add new features
- Remove obsolete functionality
Pixply will not intentionally make a paid service materially worse without reasonable justification, notice, or an appropriate remedy where required by law.
36. Changes to These Terms
Pixply may update these Terms when:
- Products or services change
- New features are introduced
- Legal requirements change
- Security or operational practices change
- Clarification is reasonably necessary
The updated Terms will show a new effective date and version number.
Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method.
Changes will not retroactively remove rights relating to completed purchases.
Where legally required, Pixply may request renewed acceptance.
37. Governing Law and Courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Where you are a consumer, you retain mandatory protections available under the law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in any court with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
Business disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless otherwise agreed in writing.
38. Complaints
Please contact Pixply before beginning formal proceedings so we can investigate the issue.
Contact:
Where relevant, include:
- Your account email
- Order reference
- Board or product information
- A description of the issue
- The outcome you are requesting
Do not send your password, complete activation code, verification code, or access token.
39. Assignment
You may not transfer your account or rights under these Terms without Pixply’s written consent.
Pixply may transfer these Terms to an affiliate, purchaser, or successor as part of a merger, financing, restructuring, or sale, provided this does not reduce your mandatory rights.
40. Severability
If a court finds part of these Terms unlawful or unenforceable, that part will be modified or removed only to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
41. No Waiver
If Pixply does not immediately enforce a provision, this does not waive the right to enforce it later.
42. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with applicable:
- Product descriptions
- Order confirmations
- Refund Policy
- Shipping Policy
- Warranty Policy
- Privacy Policy
- Additional purchase or promotional terms
form the agreement between you and Pixply concerning the relevant product or service.
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
43. Language
These Terms may be translated into other languages.
Translations are provided for convenience. The English version controls to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Mandatory local-language and consumer-law requirements remain unaffected.
